My 3rd ever Bob Ross painting - Seascape Fantasy. Have had a major creative block since then and trying to find the motivation to paint again.
/r/HappyTreesMy 3rd painting, how is it?
/r/HappyTreesTL;DR First attempt of sky from previous post. Reused the canvas later for a different ocean scene. See comments for details/happy accidents.
/r/HappyTreesSecond painting! Can someone please help me with laying down grassy areas and laying down the trees, when I tried to put the tree down it picked up the paint underneath it, (the apparent rocks) should I think the paint first maybe? Using W&N Winton paints. Thanks
/r/HappyTreesMy 5th painting. Didnt really have a plan, just learning and practice. Happy about foreground, but not good at mountains. And black clouds didnt work either...
/r/HappyTreesI painted this mysterious forest with oil on canvas
/r/HappyTreesGetting some more black canvas practice in
/r/HappyTreesSome of the finer detail doesn't really show up well in the pic, but this is one I mostly followed from Season 28 Ep 9. I think my pine trees are getting much better.
/r/HappyTreesI re-did Peaceful Reflections and I figured out a bunch of new techniques that made all the difference! What a joy it was to paint this!
/r/HappyTreesPosted my first last week, finished my second this weekend! (S24E1) still need to work on foreground bushes
/r/HappyTreesMy version of Towering Peaks (S10 E01), painted with acrylics
/r/HappyTreesMostly followed along to Sunset Over the Waves (S11 E10) but I used pthalo green instead of all alizarin crimson, among other things.
/r/HappyTreesMy first ever painting. :)
/r/HappyTreesPracticing skies and mountains. I was supposed to practice but ended up making a whole picture :)
/r/HappyTreesMy third painting, though I'm not very happy with it overall.
/r/HappyTreesWorking more on night time paintings
/r/HappyTreesAcrylic to Oil. Happy Trees by a lake.
/r/HappyTreesMy first painting 3.5 months ago and a painting I just finished up the other day. Good progress?
/r/HappyTrees#19: Nebula - This one turned out both better and worse than I expected it would :)
/r/HappyTreesI was unhappy with how the original turned out (bottom), so I re-did this painting (top). I was excited how the re-do turned out, but most people are telling me they like the original better... what do y'all think?
/r/HappyTreesThis was a 4x8 piece of cardstock coated with gesso. I use this for cheap practice paper tho' I need to use small brushes vs the big ol' brushes like Bob uses
/r/HappyTreesMy latest - still struggling with separating the vegetation and not being a mud mixer, but I'll keep practicing! Any tips?
/r/HappyTreesBy far my best one yet!—Peaceful Reflections (Season 15 Episode 4)
/r/HappyTrees“Night Light” for first time. Love those black canvasses!
/r/HappyTreesToday's happy little painting, feedback is appreciated as always!
/r/HappyTreesHappytrees by a lake
/r/HappyTreesI went sailing today. Well in my head
/r/HappyTreesEach one gets a little better. I’m already starting a new painting.
/r/HappyTreesSecond attempt at a seascape. Feeling pretty good at how it came out!
