Day 1 vs 8 months in.
/r/bracesMy impacted canine exposure treatment while having braces. It is still inside my gums. From left xray, baby tooth still intact. Middle xray, baby tooth extracted had a little movement, right xray (recent) had undergo operation to put a button bracket on it to for assistance on exposing it.
/r/bracesFinally got my power chain, it hurts but I hope this only means that I’m so close to finishing my journey. We’re now closing the gaps on either side of my adult canine. I expect not to be able to eat for about a week (that’s how long it hurts when I get just archwire thickened)
/r/bracesA year and a half down! A year or less to go!! Also my gums are super swollen. The pain has been intense but I’ve never felt more confident and comfortable in my own smile.
/r/bracesWas just looking at old pictures there and I am so grateful for braces! When I was younger people picked on me cause of my teeth so I absolutely love them now! I had braces on for about 16 months and they made such a transformation!
/r/braces6 months down. 6 months to go!
/r/bracesi officially have braces !!!!
/r/bracesEver since I got my braces I've been smiling in my pictures more and more. Less than a year to go!
/r/bracesIs it time for me to tell my ortho to fix up all the details? He would not fix m tilted front tooth when I asked him a couple of months ago. (more in comments)
/r/bracesI cant go one month before my braces pop off and 2 of my teeth feel lose while the rest are good.Do you think emergency dentists can cover this? Im nervous about telling my dentist they fell of again.
/r/bracesHow will this tooth be moved forward? Will I need an expander, or something like that?
/r/bracesHow do you pick a dentist and type of braces? I’m scared of making the wrong decision. It’s such a huge investment but I really want it. I’m thinking Invisalign or Inman aligner? I hate my two front teeth sticking out! Looks like I have lil potatoes in my mouth
/r/bracesFirst time having braces! Any tips?
/r/bracesGum pulling away from my incisor, bleeds when I floss or use my waterpik. More in comments.
/r/bracesFinally off after a year and nine months.
/r/bracesPROGRESS [25F] only 5 months in, they’re expecting them to come off much sooner than the 18-23 months that I was originally quoted. So happy with the progress so far :)
/r/bracesAh yes, the “demon” braces 😂🤦♀️
/r/braces15 months - buttons and 4 elastics last month, tall bite block today.
/r/bracesI'm very unhappy with my teeth after 3 and a half years of treatment (including jaw surgery) - I need advice! (Text in comments).
/r/bracesDoes this look like gum recession to you?
/r/bracesWhat treatment would be the best to fix my gummy smile ? , I’m 25 and I just got braces
/r/bracesI can’t believe the difference in just one month!
/r/bracesHoly shit what do I do
/r/bracesis it just me or my 2 lateral incisors have different sizes? for some reason one of them just doesn’t come down to close the gap. (im on a rectangle rubber bands configuration fron the incisors to the canines) its very annoying
/r/bracesOrthodontist said 24 months 😳 do you guys agree? Obviously I mean no offence here but I’ve some others getting less time with teeth that look worse. I went to a private orthodontist rather than NHS, I wonder if they are doing this for business purposes? (Maybe??)should I get a second opinion?
/r/braces4 months in lingual braces. 8 more to go... (36 y/o based in London)
/r/bracesMonth 1 vs. month 19: Orthodontist says five more months!
/r/bracesThe image is awful but I think this is part of my braces that came off when I was brushing my teeth. How worried should I be? I’ve only got braces on my top teeth for now and I’m getting them on the bottom in a few weeks so can it wait then?
/r/bracesBites don’t fit properly, doctor says it can’t be moved anymore. He says it looks ok! Any suggestions?
